The Australian government has just started rolling out the vaccination for COVID-19. Please refer to the information below to find out where to get the vaccine, advice on getting the COVID and Flu vaccine, who is currently eligible and any other information surrounding the COVID-19 vaccination

Who is currently eligible for the Covid-19 Vaccination?

The Eligibility Checker is currently being updated for eligibility for the COVID-19 Comirnaty (Pfizer) vaccine for people aged 12 to 15 who are not in a priority group. They will be able to book from 13 September 2021. People aged 12 to 15 who are in a priority group can book now. General practices are currently experiencing a high number of phone calls from people interested in receiving the vaccine. Please use online bookings where possible, and refrain from calling your GP until bookings open for these age groups.

Where can I get the Covid-19 Vaccination?

We are recommending all of our patients who wish to get the Covid-19 vaccination to go to the Sydney West COVID Vaccination centre. The centres address is Level 1, Suite 203, 5 Australia, Sydney Olympic Park, NSW, 2171

To book an appointment with them you can click the link here.

Can I get the Covid-19 Vaccination and the Flu Vaccination at the same time?

The public health network advises that you should wait at least 14 days between getting the Flu and Covid vaccination (but it is recommended to wait a little bit longer if you can).

It doesn't matter in which order you get them, for example: You could get the Flu vaccination on the 01/04/2021 and then you could get the Covid vaccination on the 20/04/2021 or vice versa so the Covid vaccination on the 01/04/2021 and then the Flu vaccination on the 20/04/2021.
